ITGC Co-chairs Tony Sharon and Karen Gleason wrote to the MIT community about some changes being made to MITnet, and to address some of the concerns heard from the community about certain aspects of these changes.

Vice President for Information Systems and Technology John Charles sent a letter to the MIT community about the rollout of the Duo two-factor authentication service, which will protect systems, services and accounts for which a password alone provides insufficient security. Duo enrollment for staff and affiliates will be linked to the annual certificate renewal process.

Executive Vice President and Treasurer Israel Ruiz sent a letter to the members of Academic Council to disseminate throughout their respective areas. The letter describes improvements to systems and procedures to ensure the safety of the MIT community.
